COMPARE · CHECKED ON EACH SITE
Compare speaking coach apps
We make one of the apps on these pages, so we follow a few rules. Every competitor fact is checked on that company's own site and dated, we say who each tool suits, and we say plainly what SpeakConfident doesn't do.

Comparisons
Each comparison is dated and carries a changelog at the bottom of the page.
SPEAKING APPSThe best public speaking apps in 2026: an honest comparison (from one of them)What each app is for, what it measures, what it costs and who it doesn't suit, with every fact checked on the company's own site and dated.
MEETING COACHESPoised alternatives: what to use now that Poised is shutting downWhat we know about the shutdown, what Poised did, and where to go for each of its two jobs: feedback on your calls and practice before them.
How we compare
- Facts come from the company's own pages. Prices, plans and features are taken from each company's site, with the date we checked. Where an app-store price differs, we say so.
- We say who each tool suits. Different tools do different jobs. A meeting assistant that reports on your calls and a practice app that you rehearse with aren't trying to be the same thing.
- We say what we don't do. SpeakConfident doesn't join your meetings or give live feedback during calls. Afterwards, you can record a two-minute debrief. If you need live feedback, we'll point you elsewhere.
- No star ratings. We don't score competitors or add review markup. You get the facts and the trade-offs, and you decide.
Two jobs: feedback on your calls, or practice before them
Most speaking apps do one of two things. Some listen to your real meetings and tell you afterwards, or during, how fast you spoke and how many fillers you used. Others give you somewhere to rehearse before the moment: you record, see your numbers, change one thing, and try again.
Feedback on real calls tells you what happened. Practice changes what happens next time. Many people want both for a while. Each comparison groups the options by job, so you can skip straight to the half that fits.
Not sure what you need?
Start with your own numbers. The free tools count your fillers and measure your pace in about a minute, and the guides explain what to do with the result.

We re-check the Poised page every month and the public speaking apps comparison every quarter, and log each change in the page's changelog. If you'd like another app compared, tell us.
QUESTIONS
About the comparisons
Why should I trust a comparison written by an app maker?
You shouldn't take it on trust. That's why every competitor fact links to the company's own page with the date we checked it, and why each comparison says what our app doesn't do. Check the links and decide for yourself.
Is there a free alternative to Poised?
Not one that gives private live nudges during calls the way Poised did, as far as we could confirm. Read AI's free plan gives a coaching report after up to five meetings a month, and PowerPoint's Speaker Coach gives free rehearsal feedback for slide talks.
Does SpeakConfident give live feedback in meetings?
No. It's a practice app: you rehearse out loud before the moment, see your fillers, pace and pauses, and try again. It doesn't join your calls. If you need feedback on real meetings, the comparisons list tools that do.
What if a price or feature has changed?
Prices and plans change often. The comparison table gives the date each fact was checked, and the changelog shows what we've updated since. If you see something different on a company's site, tell us and we'll correct it.
