Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using SpeakConfident ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

SpeakConfident is an AI speaking coach that helps you improve how you speak. It includes:

• Recording takes and seeing a Replay with fillers, pauses and rushed endings marked
• AI feedback on each take, and measured before-and-after comparisons
• A ten-chapter path with checkpoints to track your progress
• Tools for real moments, such as preparing a talk or reviewing a real recording

3. Your account

To use the Service you need an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your password secure
• Tell us straight away about any unauthorised access
• Take responsibility for all activity under your account

4. Plans and billing

Free plan

The free plan includes your Voice Snapshot, Chapter 1 with warm reads, and a limited number of coached takes each week.

Pro trial

New accounts include 7 days of Pro. When it ends, your account moves to the free plan unless you subscribe.

Pro subscription

• Pro is billed monthly ($19) or annually ($180), plus any applicable taxes
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• You can cancel at any time; Pro continues until the end of the billing period
• Subscriptions bought on the web are billed by Stripe and managed in Settings. Subscriptions bought in the iOS or Android app are billed by Apple or Google and managed in your App Store or Google Play account
• Refunds for web purchases are provided at our discretion. Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive or violates others’ rights
• Upload recordings of other people without their permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorisation

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, features and content, is owned by SpeakConfident and protected by intellectual property laws. You keep ownership of your recordings and personal content.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your recordings to provide the Service, including sending them to the providers described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Specific results from using the Service
• The accuracy of every measurement or piece of AI feedback

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeakConfident shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will tell you about significant changes by email or in the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. You can also delete your account at any time; see Account deletion.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
